Oy vey... It's been a long time since I posted

What a long and strange trip it has been. I haven't posted on this blog forever. My 10 year old son keeps reminding me that I should.... So, here I am.

Obama has been in office for almost a year. Healthcare reform is being blocked by the soulless Republicans with lots of help from the Blue Dog Democrats. Joe Lieberman can kiss my ass and so can the lying sacks of crap who are blocking a public option. My best friend has no insurance. She is 51 years old and needs to see a doctor but can't. I wish she could use my insurance. Her son is in Iraq... I hope he comes home safe.

Thanksgiving is creeping up along with my daughter Jacqui's 9th birthday. What a brilliant little angel Jacqui is. I adore her.

Ian, my son, turned 10 on October 10th. My Aspergers kid is so fun and smart. He had a fun birthday party here, I grilled burgers and made popcorn and his favorite chocolate cake. He and his pals played video games - we sat in the yard and had ate delicious hot wings that I also made at Ian's request.

On Sunday, Ian and I went to see Jamie Laval and Zac Leger play in Kensington - Wow, it was so much fun. Jamie Laval is one hell of a violin player. It was magical. Of course I love music from the British Isles.... I loved the twist he puts into his music - it's more of a high falutin' kind of folk music. The Scottish music was haunting and so sad....

Anyway, I will try to write more often on this blog.

If you pray, pray for the endless wars to end.
